Luxury Furniture Manufacturing Process

Step 1:

Carpentry Working (Base Material Forming)

Selection & Cutting: Premium wood such as walnut, oak, or imported solid wood is selected. Materials are cut and planed precisely according to design drawings to form the frame or main structure.

Carving & Shaping: Decorative lines and curves in Italian style are created using CNC machines or hand carving for refined detailing.

Step 2:

Hardware Processing (Metal Components)

Component Fabrication: Stainless steel or brass hardware (e.g., handles, legs) are processed through cutting, polishing, and electroplating to ensure durability and a refined finish.

Pre-assembly Testing: Certain hardware components are pre-fitted with wood structures to ensure proper alignment.

Step 3:

Upholstery Structure (Filling & Framing)

Frame Reinforcement: Internal wooden or metal frames are layered with high-density foam, down, and other materials to enhance seating comfort.

Shaping & Stitching: Padding is ergonomically cut and secured with adhesive or bandaging to hold shape.

Step 4:

Upholstery Finishing (Covering with Fabric/Leather)

Material Selection & Cutting: Genuine leather or high-end fabrics are cut according to templates, with seam allowances reserved.

Manual Wrapping: The cover is stretched and applied by hand with techniques like tufting or pleating, ensuring a smooth surface and concealed seams.

Step 5:

Painting & Surface Finishing

Base Coat & Sanding: Surfaces are coated with eco-friendly primers and carefully sanded for smoothness.

Multi-layer Coating: Techniques like open-pore or matte finishing preserve the natural wood grain. Final polishing brings out the luster.

Workshop Environmental Control:

• Temperature and humidity are strictly regulated (15–25°C; 40%–70% RH) to ensure proper drying and prevent paint defects such as blistering or cracking.

• Airflow and cleanliness are maintained through ventilation systems and dust control. VOCs and particles are filtered to protect finish quality. Surfaces are dusted using spray guns or electrostatic equipment before application.

Step 6:

Assembly & Quality Inspection

Component Assembly: Wood, metal, and upholstered parts are assembled, and structural stability is checked.

Final Inspection: All moving parts (e.g., drawer slides), color consistency, and surface finish are tested before packing and warehousing.

Note: Actual production steps may vary depending on complexity—e.g., some hardware may be installed after upholstery. Italian-style luxury emphasizes craftsmanship and intricate detailing, resulting in longer production times due to high manual involvement.
